Don't Worry 05:07
Don’t Worry Words & Music © Caroline Hetherton Everybody’s talking about it They say you’re the talk of the town A few stolen moments of glory Before it comes tumbling down Have you looked in your mirror lately Have you studied yourself hard and long I can tell from your brand new reflection I can tell, that the old one has gone Chorus: Don’t you worry ‘bout me baby I’m okay, I’m doing fine Don’t you think ‘bout me baby It’s not your fault, I was so blind I guess I should offer best wishes For the future and all that it brings I hope that life deals out good fortune And good luck and all of those things But luck is such a serious contender When you fight for your life in the ring Your eyes can’t conceal the pretender Who knows the way things should have been Chorus: Don’t you worry ‘bout me baby I’m okay, I’m doing fine Don’t you think ‘bout me baby It’s not your fault, I was so blind And everything I thought about Through all the heartbreak and the doubt And all the dreams I ever had That in the end turned out so bad And now I start my life anew Just trying to get over you I need someone who will be true Someone to hold on…… Chorus: Don’t you worry ‘bout me baby I’m okay, I’m doing fine Don’t you think ‘bout me baby It’s not your fault, I was so blind

2. Superstition Highway Words & Music © Caroline Hetherton I remember when I first met you We sat in a Wimpy bar for hours Over two cups of coffee And you told me your life story I guess we could have been there for days But I heard a shortened version And it hit me suddenly How dull my life had been We were only twenty-one But you’d been on your own since leaving school Drifting from one place to another While I still lived at home You’d had many lovers And you told me with great fervour Details of your endeavours And I could not recall one Chorus: I’m on Superstition Highway We can talk all night about the way things used to be Before Superstition Highway Took you away from me A diamond ring or broken heart or two Could never break your spirit In your own firm held belief That there was someone out there for you In all the years I’ve known you I can’t remember seeing you cry You shrug off each rejection Whilst eyeing the next man passing by Chorus: I’m on Superstition Highway We can talk all night about the way things used to be Before Superstition Highway Took you away from me I haven’t seen you now in years Since you started out on your last adventure Across the lake that would divide us For six months…..and you’re still here You’re married now, with a house and dog In Phoenix, Arizona I’m on Superstition Highway That leads me to your door Chorus: I’m on Superstition Highway We can talk all night about the way things used to be Before Superstition Highway Took you away from me We’ve been here now for three days We had so much to catch up on The conversation was easy And we talked about the old days We went shooting in the desert Now I’m leaving for Nevada My stay is slowly ending But I’ll be coming back to… Chorus: I’m on Superstition Highway We can talk all night about the way things used to be Before Superstition Highway Took you away from me

3. Main Man Gone Words & Music © Caroline Hetherton It’s been three years for me Seems it’s only just begun When your whole life comes crashing in And there’s no-where left to run You know life has changed for you And will never be the same How could it with the Main Man gone And you’re left to bear the pain Chorus: I can’t make the hurt go away Time will heal that’s what they say As long as memories don’t fade Cause I don’t want them to I can’t make the hurt go away Take your time day by day And if you need me you know where I am That’s all I can give to you Right now you’re gonna be shook up And you’re angry and confused I’d like to say things will get easier soon All that is up to you It’s easy to see that it’s breaking your heart You really look as if you’ve been torn apart I think it’s really true to say You feel it as I do Chorus: I can’t make the hurt go away Time will heal that’s what they say As long as memories don’t fade Cause I don’t want them to I can’t make the hurt go away Take your time day by day And if you need me you know where I am That’s all I can give to you To you To you To you

4. Love on the Run Words & Music © Caroline Hetherton Coming home to you tonight I saw a couple on the street Each holding the other one tight Their future looked so sweet It took me back a year or two To the time when I had first met you And it made me realise These days we hardly find the time Chorus: We got love on the run Like ships that pass in the dead of night Love on the run We gotta’ find a way to get the balance right When you’re in love you’re just bowled over You can’t believe how it can be It enters into each every moment Each thought, each word, each memory And though the feeling is still as strong You know the rest of life goes on We can’t stop them wheels from turning Just find a way to jump off and on Chorus: We got love on the run Like ships that pass in the dead of night Love on the run We gotta’ find a way to get the balance right To play the music we used to dance to To watch the movies we used to cry to To make love slowly the way we used to We got love on the run Chorus: We got love on the run Like ships that pass in the dead of night Love on the run We gotta’ find a way to get the balance right We got love on the run Like ships that pass in the dead of night Love on the run We gotta find a way to get the balance right Love on the run Like ships that pass in the dead of night Love on the run We gotta find a way to get the balance right Love on the run Love on the run Love on the run

5. Only in the Movies Words & Music © Caroline Hetherton There’s a real side to love We never allow ourselves to see So conditioned into thinking The way it ought to be Champagne and roses Little hearts for valentine Violins and moonlight Desperate lovers, you are mine Chorus: When it finally falls upon you Don’t be fooled, yeah, just like me Wake up from the daydream and you will see That it was only in the movies, only in the movies Expectations run too high Only to be filled with disappointment The weak become strong, oh what a lie Manufactured piece of sentiment A slice of an old fantasy That doesn’t apply to you and me Made that mistake a long time ago Now I know what’s real or make believe Chorus: When it finally falls upon you Don’t be fooled, yeah, just like me Wake up from the daydream and you will see That it was only in the movies, only in the movies Chorus: When it finally falls upon you Don’t be fooled, yeah, just like me Wake up from the daydream and you will see That it was only in the movies, only in the movies It was only in the movies It was only in the movies Yeah, yeah, yeah Only in the movies Only in the movies Only Only in the movies Only in the movies Only Silver screen come to me Silver screen come to me

6. What’s gonna happen Words & Music © Caroline Hetherton You’re making plans, that don’t include me I’m on the outside looking in I can’t compete with the deals you’re making It costs you nothing I’m the one who’s paying Chorus What’s gonna’ happen to us Your hopes and dreams could tear us apart What’s gonna’ happen to us You’re thinking bout money but not my heart I can’t complain about the life you’re making I know you’ve gotta’ do things you gotta’ do And sometimes sacrifices will have to be made I look after me and you look after you Chorus What’s gonna’ happen to us Your hopes and dreams could tear us apart What’s gonna’ happen to us You’re thinking bout money but not my heart I know love goes beyond the material We can’t buy the kind of love we’ve known Oh honey, let’s don’t take this love for granted One day it might me gone, when we get home Chorus What’s gonna’ happen to us Your hopes and dreams could tear us apart What’s gonna’ happen to us You’re thinking bout money but not my heart Chorus What’s gonna’ happen to us Your hopes and dreams could tear us apart What’s gonna’ happen to us You’re thinking bout money but not my heart What’s gonna’ happen Not my heart What’s gonna’ happen Not my heart (to us) What’s gonna’ happen Not my heart (to us) What’s gonna’ happen Not my heart (to us)

Lies 03:14
7. Lies Words & Music © Caroline Hetherton So you told me your story And what a tale you spun ‘Bout where you’ve been the last few days And ‘bout all the crazy things you’ve done Well you must think that I’m a fool If I’m gonna believe you again Cause I know where you’ve really been And my heart is feeling the strain Chorus: Lies in the morning Lies in bed at night Don’t give me the chance to tell you where to go Cause baby, baby, I just might Now you can’t fool me anymore Cause I’m on to your little game I wish I had the revenge desire To go out and do the same Well I know you’ve been cheating on me When you say that you’ve been working late Now this girl’s been lonely too long It’s time you learnt your fate Chorus: Lies in the morning Lies in bed at night Don’t give me the chance to tell you where to go Cause baby, baby, I just might You can’t fool me anymore Cause I’m on to your little game I wish I had the revenge desire To go out and do the same Chorus: Lies in the morning Lies in bed at night Don’t give me the chance to tell you where to go Cause baby, baby, I just might Baby I just might Baby I just might Baby I just

This Is Me 04:13
8. This is me Words & Music © Caroline Hetherton I know her smile is all that you see It’s easy to think that that’s all she can be Her love of life makes it hard to believe That in her heart, she feels the same loss and grief So many people envy her strength Thinking that she is the ultimate friend She has to listen but do you ever hear Do you see the person or just the veneer Chorus: This is me, do I look the same This is me, can you feel my pain This is me, can I make you see The other person inside of me I watch her bringing her joy to your world The party starts when she enters the room I’ve also seen her when she crumbles and falls Is anyone out there listening to her call Chorus: This is me, do I look the same This is me, can you feel my pain This is me, can I make you see The other person inside of me All it takes is a little sensitivity Thinking of her instead of just what she can do for me Be the friend to her that she is to you Open your eyes and do what you have to do Chorus: This is me, do I look the same This is me, can you feel my pain This is me, can I make you see The other person inside of me Chorus: This is me, do I look the same This is me, can you feel my pain This is me, can I make you see The other person inside of me This is me This is me This is me

9. All that you are Words & Music © Caroline Hetherton The love affair is over How did I manage till the end Tried so hard to make you hate me Risking the chance of being friends Didn’t know how I would tell you Too much emotion safely inside Yeah I was scared My head was reeling Didn’t wanna’ see the hurt In your eyes I bet they think I’m the hard one Forcing you to make this sacrifice And I can’t tell you how I’m feeling Cuts me too, just like a knife I know it was the best thing Cause we know it was just a lie We tried so hard to keep things going But inside our hearts had died Chorus: All that you are, all that you do I never felt the need for you All that you have, all that you’ll be I never needed anyone but me Well a few years have passed since We went our separate ways And looking back in reflection We’ve both seen brighter days I know that you’ve been busy In the letters you write to me And Lord I’m just so grateful That you’re still a friend to me Chorus: All that you are, all that you do I never felt the need for you All that you have, all that you’ll be I never needed anyone but me Chorus: All that you are, all that you do I never felt the need for you All that you have, all that you’ll be I never needed anyone but me I never needed anyone but me No one but me

10. Heart Beating Strongly Words & Music © Caroline Hetherton She’s got to a place and a time Where she can’t separate her heart from her mind Her head say’s “Do this” It leads she follows And people think she is standing tall But deep inside she feels so small Her heart on the back seat It bleeds, she swallows Cause the heartache just gets stronger Constant reminder of those who wronged her Don’t wanna’ sit on all of this A minute longer Chorus: What you see you’re not getting We gently peel away the layers Bit by bit to show the heart that’s beating strongly All the years of hurt and anger We gently soothe the sore and tender Bit by bit to show the heart that’s beating strongly Beating Strongly A careless comment caught you unawares And you didn’t know what to say And though it hurts You still say nothing So people think they can put you down And talk as if you were not around Once again you let it slide For another day Cause the heartache just gets stronger Constant reminder of those who wronged her Don’t wanna” sit on all of this A minute longer Chorus: What you see you’re not getting We gently peel away the layers Bit by bit to show the heart that’s beating strongly All the years of hurt and anger We gently soothe the sore and tender Bit by bit to show the heart that’s beating strongly Beating Strongly Bit by bit, beating strongly Bit by bit, beating strongly Bit by bit, beating strongly Yeah, Yeah

Father's Son 05:00
11. Father’s Son Words & Music © Caroline Hetherton The art of conversation He never learnt from you You had not a word to say To waste on this fool The fool remains silent As you walk into the room Afraid to say the wrong thing And the fight that could ensue Chorus: I can’t imagine, how he feels No doubt it’s not occurred to you For his unconditional love is lost When given to you You know the truth, can’t tell you what you’ve done And in the end you don’t comprehend He is just, he is just, his father’s son With no-one there to guide him For him to look up to In your eyes he’s a failure Not worth helping through So he got involved in these things When you refused to steer him clear And risked the chance of making A way of life to him so dear Chorus: I can’t imagine, how he feels No doubt it’s not occurred to you For his unconditional love is lost When given to you You know the truth, can’t tell you what you’ve done And in the end you don’t comprehend He is just, he is just, his father’s son

Just So Easy 04:30
13. Just so easy Words & Music © Caroline Hetherton I’m trying hard to do as we agreed Trying not to get too close But it’s almost impossible to fight this thing Think I’ve got an overdose So you can see you’ve gotta do something Cause it’s your fault I feel this way One sweet night was all it took of you And your passionate way Chorus: It’s just so easy to fall in love with you I think I’m gonna break the pact It’s just so easy to fall in love with you I’m not talking fiction, I’m talking fact What’s a girl supposed to do When you cook her food and run her bath And when you snuggle up close to me And when I’m down you make me laugh Now I’m not saying you’re Mister Perfect You’ve got your share of flaws I wouldn’t say you’ve got me hooked But you could hang me on the back of your door Chorus: It’s just so easy to fall in love with you I think I’m gonna break the pact It’s just so easy to fall in love with you I’m not talking fiction, I’m talking fact You say you don’t wanna take this thing further But everyday it gets a little bit harder How can we tell if we’re on the right track It’s you and me baby, we may never look back Chorus: It’s just so easy to fall in love with you I think I’m gonna break the pact It’s just so easy to fall in love with you I’m not talking fiction, I’m talking fact Chorus: It’s just so easy to fall in love with you I think I’m gonna break the pact It’s just so easy to fall in love with you I’m not talking fiction, I’m talking fact I’m not talking fiction, I’m talking fact I’m not talking fiction, I’m talking fact

about

Born to Irish parents, Caroline started her musical career as an 8 year old playing piano accordian in a family band to Irish audiences in her hometown of Oxford. She taught herself to play the guitar and wrote her first song at the age of 11.

Since then, she has performed on the London music circuit as a singer/songwriter and guitarist, both solo and in a duo, 'Breakin' Hearts', with singer Beverly Baxter for a number of years. As a semi-pro she secured a support slot on a David Essex national tour, playing solo in major venues throughout the country. She has also played at the famous 12 Bar Club in Central London and headlined on numerous occasions at the old Mean Fiddler Acoustic Room, performing both solo and with her four-piece backing band. She has also performed live on BBC local radio as well as at major UK festivals.

A prolific songwriter whose influences include Mary Chapin-Carpenter, Bonnie Raitt and Shawn Colvin, Caroline's debut album 'Superstition Highway' was started in London England and finished in Nashville TN, produced by American songwriter Steve Dan Mills and featuring a band of some of the very best Nashville musicians, including Bob Babbitt on bass, Barry Walsh on keyboards, Chris Leuzinger on guitar, Joe Spivey on fiddle and National guitar, Andy Peake on drums with Jack Sundrud playing bass on some tracks and joining Caroline and her long-time duo partner Beverly Baxter on backing vocals.
